Book Review: Sun Tzu’s The Art of War

The Art of War by Sun Tzu is a self-help published in 1910 and is about how to use ancient Chinese military strategies in order to succeed in business, politics and everyday life in general.

In this book Sun Tzu lays out military strategies that helped make him the greatest war leader and military strategist. He shares philosophies aimed at making the reader a great leader at work, in management and in their personal life.

This is a very short book is written in an easily understandable English language, I read it in one seating.

I quite enjoyed the straightforwardness of the language adopted by the reader, focusing mainly on communicating these valuable political, management, and life strategies.

The only negative is that the book is waaaaaaay too short; it is almost like a booklet.

I’d recommend this book to anyone interested in a life in management, leadership or business.

Out of ten, I rate The Art of War a nine, taking away the one point solely for the length of the book.
